Lesson conversation

online

Yesterday I go went to the store and buy bought milk.

Almost there. For yesterday we use Past Simple: went and bought. Both are irregular — easier to remember as a pair.

Courses: from first phrases to real conversation

Each course is a set of short lessons grouped into units. Every unit ends with a story to read and a test, and every course with a certificate. Not a beginner? A placement test shows where to start. Chinese courses are explained in English; English courses are made for Russian speakers.

Why textbooks don't make you speak

Making mistakes in front of people is scary

With a tutor in an app you can ask again ten times, mix up every tense, and never feel awkward about it.

Corrections get made, then forgotten

A regular chatbot fixes your sentence and moves on. Here the fix becomes a flashcard and returns exactly when you start forgetting it.

Vocabulary lives apart from speech

Word lists fade within a week. What goes into review here is what you actually tried to say — with your own context.

How a session goes

A lesson takes 10–15 minutes. The app builds your plan for the day: a new lesson, homework and review.

  1. Lesson

Phrases and words with audio, a short grammar note and a real-life dialogue. Exercises check your answer right away — typed or spoken.

  2. Conversation

Use the lesson's phrases in a conversation with the tutor, by voice or text. Feedback comes in a separate message: what's wrong, what's right and why.

  3. Practice

Homework the next day, “My mistakes” and FSRS flashcards, a test at the end of each unit, and mixed review a week and a month later.

What's inside

Lessons with audio

Every phrase, word and dialogue can be played aloud. Exercises: build the phrase, type it, recognise it by ear, say it out loud.

Talk to a tutor

By voice or text — on the lesson topic or in a ready-made situation: airport, doctor, job interview, exam. The tutor remembers what you've told it about yourself.

Pronunciation and tones

English: pronunciation scored word by word and sound by sound. Chinese: a tone trainer and a pitch graph of your own recording.

Writing with scores

IELTS- and HSK-style tasks: scores on four criteria, a breakdown of your mistakes and an improved version of your text.

Mistakes don't repeat

Anything you get wrong — in a lesson, a conversation or a text — goes to “My mistakes” and FSRS review until it sticks.

In your browser, on your phone and in Telegram

The bot reminds you to study, shows today's plan and lets you practise your mistakes right in the chat. One account, shared progress.

Who it's for

Complete beginners

The first course starts with “Hello!” and “你好!”. Sixteen lessons later you can talk about yourself, your day and your town.

People who need it at work

Calls, meeting the team, interviews. Work out the wording with the tutor in advance — no risk of slipping up in front of colleagues.

Exam candidates

IELTS Speaking and Writing, HSK and HSKK: exam-style tasks with criteria-based scoring.

Travellers and people relocating

Airport, hotel, renting, doctors, banks — rehearse the conversation before it happens.

Why it works

  1. You speak instead of reading about the language

Speech sticks when you're trying to express your own thought — not when you memorise a rule from a table.

  2. Review by algorithm, not by calendar

FSRS estimates when you're about to forget a word and shows the card right then. You stop re-reading what you already know.

  3. One fix at a time

The tutor won't dump ten notes at once. Each turn covers what matters most, so the conversation stays a conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lwiser?
Lwiser offers English and Chinese courses with an AI tutor. Lessons, homework, unit tests and a certificate take you through a syllabus from zero to C1 (English) and HSK 6 (Chinese), while the tutor gets you speaking: voice or text conversations, feedback on your mistakes, pronunciation and writing scores. Your mistakes go into spaced repetition with the FSRS algorithm. It works in the browser, on your phone and in Telegram.
Which languages can I learn?
Courses are available for Chinese (zero to HSK 6, explained in English or Russian) and English (A0 to C1, explained in Russian). Conversation practice with the tutor is also available in seven more languages — German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Russian — without a course, in free conversation and ready-made scenarios.
How is this different from a regular chatbot?
A regular chatbot answers and forgets. Lwiser remembers your mistakes: every correction becomes a flashcard and keeps coming back until it sticks. The tutor also keeps your level, goal and weak spots in mind — if you keep mixing up tenses, it will circle back to them in conversation.
What does it cost?
Lessons, homework, unit tests, flashcard review and “My mistakes” are free. Conversations with the AI tutor use tokens: free tokens are added every month, and for daily practice there's Premium — you can try it free for 7 days, no card required. Pronunciation and writing scoring have daily limits.
Can I practise by voice?
Yes. Say a sentence out loud — the app recognises it and gives feedback, and the tutor answers with voice. In English you can get a pronunciation score for every word and sound; in Chinese you can check your tones. The Telegram bot accepts voice messages too.
How much time does it take?
10–15 minutes a day is enough: a lesson or homework plus a few flashcards. The app builds your daily plan and sends reminders (in Telegram too), and missing a single day doesn't reset your streak.
What happens to my conversations and data?
Your conversations are stored in your account and used only for learning. The tutor can remember what you tell it about yourself — you can see those notes in Settings, delete them or switch memory off. You can delete your account in Settings in two clicks: conversations, flashcards and balance are erased completely.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Once you pass the tests of every unit in a course (80% or more), you can get a certificate with your name, level and average score. Each certificate has a public page for verification. It confirms that you completed a Lwiser course and isn't an official education document.
I'm not a beginner — where do I start?
Take the placement test when you sign up: it shows which course and lesson to start from, so you don't repeat what you already know. You can also pass a familiar unit early by taking its test.
