How a lesson works

10–15 minutes, five steps. Everything except the tutor conversation is free.

  1. Phrases and words

Ready-made phrases for the lesson's situation and level-appropriate words on the topic — with translations and audio.

  2. Grammar

Short and built on the lesson's examples: just what you need to say the phrases yourself.

  3. Dialogue

The lesson's phrases in a real scene — listen to it in full or line by line.

  4. Exercises

Build the phrase, write it from memory, recognise it by ear, say it out loud. Answers are checked instantly and mistakes go to review.

  5. Conversation

A role-play with the AI tutor on the lesson topic: use the phrases in conversation, by voice or text.

After the lesson

Homework

The next day: recall the lesson's phrases without hints. 70% or more means the lesson has stuck.

Unit story

A text made only of words you've learned: read it, listen to it and answer the questions.

Unit test

At the end of every unit. You can pass a familiar unit early and skip its lessons.

Review

“My mistakes”, FSRS flashcards and mixed review of past material a week and a month later.

Especially useful for Chinese

Tones and pinyin

A tone trainer by ear and a pitch graph of your own recording that shows where your voice went off. Pinyin under every phrase; you can answer in pinyin.

Characters with stroke order

240 characters across five courses: a breakdown of every character, finger writing with stroke-order hints and characters from memory in homework.

Everyday life in China

Paying with WeChat, DiDi taxis, ordering food, haggling at the market, job interviews — and HSKK speaking practice at three levels.

HSK-style writing

From a few sentences to an essay built on five given words: scores on HSK criteria, explained mistakes and an improved version.

Not a beginner?

Take the placement test after you sign up: it shows which course and lesson to start from. You can pass a familiar unit early by taking its test.

Course certificate

Pass every unit test with 80% or more and get a certificate with your name, level and average score. Anyone can verify it with its code.

The certificate confirms completing a course in Lwiser and is not an educational qualification document.

What it costs

Lessons, homework, unit tests, review and “My mistakes” are free. Conversations with the AI tutor use tokens: free tokens are added every month, and for daily practice there's Premium — try it free for 7 days, no card required. Pronunciation and writing scoring have daily limits.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know characters to start?
No. The first course starts with pinyin and tones, and characters come two or three per lesson — with a breakdown and writing practice. You can answer exercises in pinyin.
How do the courses relate to HSK?
Lesson words come from the new HSK 3.0 syllabus, and the courses go from HSK 1 to HSK 6. There's separate exam practice too: HSKK-style speaking and writing tasks scored on HSK criteria. It's preparation, not an official mock exam.
Do I need a teacher?
Not for the course: explanations, exercises and checking are built into the lessons, and the AI tutor helps you speak. It doesn't replace a human teacher in every way, but it gives you what's usually missing — lots of speaking practice, any time, without embarrassment.
